Exactly one year ago today I met you...

You were so scared and who could blame you.

The only time you had ever seen us is in two black and white pictures taped to the wall above your crib.

You were so beautiful...so precious...

Our first family photo...

Your first nap with us...

We have come so far as a family.

From the first few weeks at home...

Where there was uncertanity...

Is this my home? Will you never leave me?

Where there was a new found joy as we became family...

I am honored to know you.

I am humbled that God has chosen me...

an imperfect and flawed woman to be your Mommy.

Even the hard days I have loved because it has meant one more day being with you.

I will love you forever and always

yesterday...

today...

and tomorrow.

Amazing! Congratulations! It's wild to see you in the same locations that we were just in 2 months ago. The CHI offices has the same wallpaper but different sofa covers. :) Love the pic of their "first nap" with you.

Thanks so much for putting up new photos... they are wonderful- your sweetpeas look so happy, healthy and like so much fun. And so big...now they look like little kiddos instead of the babies that I met a year ago. Congrats to all 4 of you!

Things I have learned in my 38 years...

Making friends with your fast will get you a visit from a man in a blue uniform.
No matter where you put your keys in your purse, they will always be found at the bottom.
No matter how far you run, God is always there.
You cannot open your front door with the keyless entry remote for your car.
You cannot start your car with the keyless entry remote for your car.
You cannot open your Hubby's truck with the keyless entry remote for your car.
I am a child of the Most High God. Adopted into His family and saved by His grace.

Things I have learned since becoming a Mom...

My kiss can single handedly take away the pain of my children.
The best way to ward off door to door salesman is to set the diaper pale outside next to your front door.
It really is possible to change a 20 month old in your airplane seat (to those of you who say gross...seriously...after 18 hours on a plane...do you think I care?)
I would pay any amount of money for an Ergo Carrier
It take about 48 hours to start enacting the 10 second rule (I think many refer to it as the 20 second rule...but I'm not there yet)
It takes about 72 hours for your little one to have their first boo boo.
It is really hard to discipline a child when they look so darn cute being so bad.
Hearing your child who desperately needs to take a nap cry "mama, mama" over and over again as he lays in his crib has got to be one of the hardest things to listen to.
